We spent the day going up the Mississippi from Guttenberg, locked through at Lynxville and went to Lansing and back, around 120 miles RT. Beautiful day and hardly any other boats out!

@Handymans342 , no...they just opened back up but supposed to get started this week. Will start cooling off to the 80's soon and some nice boating...the part time boaters have parked their boats this time of the year which makes it even nicer. It does get busy over he holidays...how many shopping days to Christmas?

Fall is a great time for boating in New England, cool comfortable temps, leaves changing colors, and a lot less idiots on the water!! I have been out on Long Island sound in October, and on the Connecticut River in November, but I've also ridden a Harley in the snow. That I don't recommend.

Nice! I'll be in the water till thanksgiving weekend... was out on Christmas day last year in CT !

i spend a lot of time on lake cumberland and it is my mission to see snow on the ground from the water! the boat has heat for a reason right! lol

I am appalled to say that two days ago, I saw a TV commercial featuring Santa Clause.  Disgusting.  Needless to say, I'm planning to get as many days on the water as I can between now and Thanksgiving!

Another great day on the water today, cool out, but with the top folded up and the sun on us , it was quite nice.

Sure was a beautiful weekend!  Anchored out with another 400 and 360.  Water was still warm enough that half of us got in!  I had Friday off and took oil and filters, but just couldn't do it yet!  Figured I'd be putting at least 10 more hours on it this year, so it was too soon.

Looks like Saturday was the last warm day up here in the North East.. Going to be dropping her off on Sunday at the marina...

You had a ruff season but glad you were able to squeeze some lemonade out of it! We boat all year- the holidays slow us down mainly because of lack of time. January and February get a little sketchy but there are some good weekends then also. Off Wednesday and the rest of the week, splash in Wednesday! Looking at being in a boat parade for Christmas this year also...
