Has anyone had any experience with this type of floor covering? I am undecided and would like some pro's/con's please.

We put Lonseal  http://www.defender.com/product3.jsp?path=-1|2276179|2276198|2276201&id=1758398 down in our cabin.

We'd like to get SeaDeck for the cockpit and swim platform.

Sheri - the Luxury Woven Vinyl that you have there is awesome. Our dock mates have it and I plan to buy the material and make new cockpit carpet for our 342 over the winter. Wears and cleans much better than carpet. I actually got a sample from that company of the teak look like you have and it was nice, but I left it in the sun for 30 min and it got very hot so we are going to go with a much lighter color.

Good to know about the heat. I like that it has the option to snap in. I am a bit of a worry wart and like to check the deck under the carpet for cracks so that is one of the reasons I am looking at that product. The carpet on ours is in excellent condition but it holds the water from the rain and is so stinking heavy..

Hi Sheri, did you decide to go with this?

I got both of the samples in from them and we are trying to decide. they look wonderful but I am a little worried about the white sponge backing. Its very thin but may be a catalyst for mold or it may be like the carpet in the Four Winns and dry out and crumble. That was a pain as it left black specks everywhere that would clog the drain holes. Florida sun, humidity and salt water are not very forgiving. If I were on lake Erie I would have no hesitation on it. if you email them in the link they will send you samples.

Yea I just got samples of the teak with holly stripe and black stripe. As I mentioned I got teak m holly colored samples earlier this summer and they were hot in the sun but we really like the teak with black stripe look so we may go with it anyway. Cockpit is always under the Bimini anyway.
