Centering Steering Wheel

Morning gang, wondering if there is a trick to centering the steering wheel that does not involve removing it? With my drives straight, my wheel is turned past 90 degrees to starboard. Not the end of the world but sure would be nice for it to be relatively straight. I have tried 4 sets of allen wrenches, metric and std, to try to back out the screws in the mid hub to remove and re center and nothing fits. If I ever have to remove I may need to drill out. Anyway if there is another way I am all ears. I plan to add the davis position indicator also.

    There should be a center cap and a nut that actually holds the wheel
    to the rack.
    caps can be purchased if you have to break it to back screws out. Then get new screws

    @zaverin1 I have been looking for a center cap but cant find one. Do you know where I could get one?

    If you remove the switch panel you may be able to access the rack 4 bolts on the bottom.

    Here is what the center of my wheel looks like. Can I center this without removing the wheel? Again the Allen screws are not coming out.

    Those Allen screws are fake. There should be Phillips head screws on the back side of the wheel to remove the wood/center.

    Just take the wheel off and reposition but watch out for the airbag LOL

    Greg your right! Thanks! Now just use a socket to remove this nut? Simple as that?

    Handy.....I wish I would have known about that!!!. When I removed my center steering wheel hub to install my Davis rudder positioner, the dam airbag went off and now its always in the way :D

    Yes the nut comes off and you can pop it off
    like I said earlier in the post all center plugs comwe out.
    some have one or two set screws that hold them in place from the side.

    Thanks! I did get it off. The nut does not need to come off in my case. Around the nut are 6 real metal Allen screws removed them and the wheel came off. Centered the drives and re positioned the wheel. Centered now. Thanks again
