2015 296BR

I just purchased a new 2015 296BR and the throttle is substantially lower (captains chair interferes with reverse)  than my old 262CC.  Also, the captains chair will not spin due to the close proximity to the cushion on the interior hull wall.  Anyone now why the boat was designed this way.

    @Weibler, I'm sure you have tried everything, but will the chair spin if it is moved to a different position on its track or a different height on the pedestal or is it limited no matter where it is on the track or what height the chair is set at?

    Is it possible to move it rearward a bit to provide clearance?

    As for interfering with reverse, that doesn't make any kind of sense - I have never heard that about the 296. Could a tech at the factory have placed it off line a bit? Can it be moved?

    Has your dealer been helpful?

    Have you contacted the factory? Have you tried to discuss this with Steve @wheatst to see what he recommends?

    As MT says above, check the front/back track adjustment under the seat.

    In our 276BR the front pass seat won't spin around unless it is in the right range on the track.
