Trim switch question

I'm not sure that my trim up switch has ever worked correctly. When I first get in the water it does not want to work at all-the trailer up works but the regular up not so much. Are there any contacts in the switch to clean or otherwise simple solution? Can't belived I said that, simple solution!

Check on the trim pump with test light to see if contact is made? mine was always tempermentle

@rasbury what ended up happening with your up function on your trim?  Mine worked fine all weekend, then the UP quit responding once I got the boat back on the trailer.  The trailer up button still worked fine though....thanks.
