Lenco Trim Tab Actuator

One of the Lenco electric trim tab actuators stopped working on my 2009 Rinker 320 EC last summer. Replacing the actuator is on my list of things to do to the boat this winter. I want to buy a new actuator but dont know which one to order. I don't see any identifying numbers or markings on the part. Does anyone on the forum know how I determine what actuator to buy? Also, the replacement procedure looks to be pretty simple, but I welcome advice from anyone who has changed one of these in the past.

@wm61356 easy fix, here is a link. If you have led one. If you do not have the lighted one, it takes a kit to change over. Still an easy fix. buy the whole kit, its worth it, to see where your tabs are at.

Hi Randy56 and LaRea, thank you both for responding to my Inquiry. I have the switch with the LED indicators. The part that I need to replace is the actuator or Ram that moves the trim tab. From what I can tell, Lenco makes several different models. I am going to call Lenco on Monday to see if they can help me determine the correct part number to order.

The actuator is also an easy fix, It helps to have a buddy to help.One on the inside one on the outside.

I actually had a "frozen" actuator on my 2008 320 at the beginning of the 2015 season - I always stroke both actuators in/out weeks prior to launching in case something has gone wrong and I also run them in/out before storage.
The starboard actuator would not stroke so I pretty much just gave it a good solid wack and tried it again and it worked :-) 
As I mentioned, this was the beginning of the 2015 season and it has worked fine the last 2 seasons.
Just an FYI - on my 2003 270, I was (due to poor troubleshooting skills with electric actuators) convinced that the brain box that controls the actuator was fried since I figured that it couldn't be the actuator - the actuator has seals, and at that time, I didn't know about the Rinker forum that existed before this one.
So, I bought the brain box only to connect it up and find that it was in fact the starboard actuator. I took it off - pulled it apart and sure enough, water intrusion.
I replaced the actuator with no issues. I also learned that the port actuator is controlled by the starboard helm switch and the starboard actuator is controlled by the port switch - it sounds backwards but that is how they work.
From the Lenco Switch Operation Guide:

Switch Operation

The operation of all Lenco switches is based on the position of the bow. To lower the starboard bow, press the right (starboard) side of the switch where it reads Down. This lowers the port tab. To lower the port bow, press the left (port) side of the switch where it reads Down. This lowers the starboard tab.

Thank you for the information. The problem I am experiencing is the ram extends about halfway and then stops. I just need to know which part number ram to order. I haven't had time to contact Lenco yet. I plan to call them tomorrow.

@randy56, Thank you! That is what I meant to say, that I am going to replace the entire actuator. The link you sent is very helpful. I will compare the dimensions of the actuator shown in the link you sent to the one on my boat. If they are the same (I'm pretty sure they are) I will know what to order.

The actuator is not a serviceable part. It must be replaced whole

So both my tabs were working just fine....till it got hauled out to have the engine replaced.. now the port side doesn't do anything haven't even bothered to look at it...could have used it on some of those high wind days with the enclosure on!!
