Voltmeter/USB Charger/Cigarette Plug and Led Light

First mod of the off season. Removed the Plastic insert from the rear seating area (Rinker 342). Drilled the holes with hole saw. I have seen other mods placing the Voltmeter/USB Charger/Cigarette plug in different locations however I choose the plastic compartment so the charging devices could be stored out of the way while charging and the cords wouldn't be hanging etc. Placed a red LED light to illuminate the compartment.

That's great idea I will do the same.I like that being out of the way.I did not want to make holes in other places

@Handymans342 previous owner are the screw holes cracked and the grandsons water toys were storied in there. They are 2 and 3 1/2 lol

Very nice mod. I've been thinking about doing the same thing but in a different location. I'm thinking of making a custom insert for the place where the 10 CD changer currently is. It has been disconnected since I installed a new head unit a couple of seasons ago.

@rmrstlmo I put a 12v BlueRay player in that spot on our 342. It has an SD card slot and USB port as well so I can use it to look at photos or other media.

Not until spring. I will solder and shrink wrap all the wire connections when it gets warmer. I plan to install LED's in the storage compartments and wire everything together also.
