1994 Rinker FV 265 Blower vent duct work

Good Morning from FROZEN Montana!  Question:  I am replacing both Port and Starboard engine compartment outside blower vents....there wasn't any duct work to them and I would like to know how to set them up!  There are 2 vent holes in each of the cowling inside the vents.  Thanks a bunch.  Pictures would be great.  Can't wait to get this boat on the water..shes a new boat to me!  Has a single 5.7 Merc engine.  Thank you so much!  Larry

    Not sure how your 94 is setup...but on my 2002 270 there are vents on starboard and port sides, but only the port side is hooked up to duct.  One of ducts goes connects to the blower motor and extends almost into the bilge, but high enough not to touch any water ect that would be in the bilge.  The fresh air duct is maybe 6 - 8 inches away in a similar length.

    I believe the coast guard has specific specs as to how far the duct should extend into the bilge and same for the fresh air.
