Rinker Captiva 192 2005 - On a couple of occassions my boat doesn't want to start?

Its sounds like the motor is firing, but is flooded? I need to leave the boat standing for a couple of hours and then it starts. Has anyone else experienced this - and do you have a solution?

Any number of complicated possible faults but from my resent experience any bad starting problem with flooding should be approached by changing the distributor cap,rotor,leads and plugs first, good luck.
