Just had my Webasto airtop 2000 heater fitted last week on my 270 FV and it's great! Got 3 outlets, 2 in the cockpit and 1 down in the cabin. Runs off its own Diesel engine and blows hot air so here in the uk where it's freezing at the moment we can get out on beautiful calm days and be warm. I plan to use the heater even late at night through the summer as It can get chilly even mid summer. It's just made boating in the uk more enjoyable.
Off to Australia next week for a months holiday all down the east coast and will be chartering a boat or two when the opportunity arises

i settled for a eberspacher hydronic d5, and plumbed in an auxiliary heater core with a thermostatic controller for it's fan + two headed fan in the bed/cab pass through.
it's freakin' NICE to turn the key-on-engine-off in a relatively toasty and frost free truck when the thermometer is reading deep into the negatives and it's already 158~160*'s. it's just plain badarse when the glow-plug indicator just flashes as if it's summer instead of prompting a re-cycle.
steep cost of investment.......... well WELL worth it. I should have done it years ago. If I were on a floater in cold waters, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to grab one up (and a dual top, if I was over there... the states haven't approved them yet).
