270 hot water tank size?

I need to order a tank and can't remember size, and boat is sealed up   And are mount tabs on sides or front and back?  I think it 6gal and side mount?

the only reason I have the photo is because mine is leaking from corrosion. My mechanic is just going to bi pass the water tank. I never use the hot water. If I need to add it later I’ll spend the $500.00. I have no idea how to bi pass the tank but he said it can me done

Hook the inlet line to the outlet line. Like bypassing the heater core in a vehicle.

I agree, it's like a 10 minute job.  You can actually buy the kit to do it, which is usually used for winterization.

On my 342 the by-pass valve is already installed

There is a metal version of this as well, which is what I have.

A lot of people(including myself) do the bypass so you don't have to put 6 gallons of antifreeze in it during winterization.
