Ok got it. Next question, here is a pic and I am pointing to the "earth ground". Two green wires to one. Looks loose to me, should I re do this connection? You can see that not all of the wires make it in to the cap.
Thanks gang. I'll report back on the right bulb, sent a note to super bright leds on stodges match. Sounds like no one has tried that one so hopefully they can confirm and I can order.
I saw that too - its just the 2700 "warm" that are backordered. They have plenty of the "cool" white. Since its behind the panel I am thinking that there really will be no difference in lighting up the red words on the panel and "cool white" is fine. Thoughts?
Thought so - I just chatted with Superbrite LED's and sent them a pic of the panel and they said the wording may actually be a little clearer/crisper and it will be fine so I am going to order the cool white 6000k. Hopefully will have pics of a bright panel next week!
Handy, which bulb did you use? The original bulb is less than an inch in overall length. Over 15/16". The superbrite led bulb is over and inch long, it is 1.13" long which is just over 1 1/8". Will 1.13" fit?
I am pretty sure that @Black_Diamond used the below bulbs which are 1.10" long so I think it will fit. Would be great to know what you used:
Ok, then do you think that these being .03 inches longer than BD's will be ok? Did you have plenty of clearance from the top of the bulb to the back of the panel?
Looks good. I like the brighter, crisper look. Will show nicely through the tinted door that we have on the 342 over the panel. Mine arrived last sat while I was working on the boat so I did not get them in yet. I did look and there is plenty of room for the longer bulb from super bright. So keep in mind that no matter the bulb color the look will be different and you will have those outlines of the switch labels that you see. That is because the leds are a lot longer than the old bulb so the light is much much closer to the panel labels.
We have some differences in our panels and I assume that's why I have 19 bulbs and you have 17. My D.C. Main switch is at the very top over the two banks and lights up where yours is at the top of the far right bank. I don't have a co monitor switch (mine is battery) but I have a blender switch. There is a 110v indicator at the top of my ac banks that light up also (bulb is out)
