Can anyone ID this wire and tell me what it does

This wire is under the dash panel that has the switches on my 2006 270 FV.

Can someone tell me what it is for?

No, my gauges have oval shaped connectors that are part of the Rinker wiring harness and my depth finder is already connected

Looks similar to the nmea adapters.

Is your engine smartcraft? And do you have gps?

It isn't NMEA 2000, Seatalk or SmartCraft (common data networking cables).  I've never seen that type of connector before.

That totally looks like my lowrance sonar connector. Even the same color.

I spoke with Lowrance today and was told the cable in question was used in the system predecessor to mnea 2000.
