Moisture Meter Advice?

Guys  - I am planning on going to take a look at a couple boats here in the next couple weeks. I would like to be able to bring along a couple tools so I can get a good idea of the overall condition before I call for a survey or make an offer. Does anyone know of a vendor that rents moisture meters by chance? Sounds like a weird question but before I purchase one I thought it would be worth the chance. If not, does anyone have any recommendations on which brand/model to purchase? Thanks in advance!

Best check is screw driver and a mallet
check transom from the inside out
outsiee look for stress cracks

good meter that requires no drilling will run you $

@zaverin1 I know what you do with the mallet but what do you do with the screw driver?

When I looked at mine, I took the screw driver to the transom around the outdrive and pushed. The owner wasn't looking. My girlfriend distracted him. LOL

Found no soft spots.

Ye like Philip's driver would be good to push on the glass to check for soft sport on the transom and engine mounts
