Vinyl in Cabin

I'm having my interior cushions redone and picked out a Seaquest vinyl fabric for them as I see it used in many newer boats.  Was wondering how sleeping on this material is.  I would use sheets but was am thinking vinyl doesn't breathe and will get hot.

I have slept in the V-berth on my 280 with vinyl cushions and it isn't too terribly bad. It isn't my favorite thing to sleep on, but it works. My aft cabin bed has a fabric and it is much better to sleep on.

We put sheets on our vinyl cushions.  Much rather have that under me than vinyl.  Doesn't take a lot to get stuck to vinyl.

I am putting vinyl in the v-berth also.  I figure it will keep mildew away better then fabric.  Using sheet should help.

Oh we don't leave the sheets on.  They are put on before bed, and come off when we get home.

We have 4" of egg crate foam on top of the V-Birth cushion. Breaths nice and makes it much more comfortable. King size egg crate foam bed toppers are around $40 from Walmart.
