Obligatory "just finished waxing the hull" photo

Yes, I know we post before-and-after photos like this pretty much every year, but it just feels so good to get that spring coat of wax on there. I used 3M rubbing compound, followed by 3M Finesse polish and Collinite Fleetwax. The starboard side is done. I just need to polish and wax the port side, assuming my arms and shoulders last that long.

Looks great! I have black hull sides and have to wheel and wax them every year as well so I feel your pain. Sure is satisfying when its done though...

Yep, one year! Last March, she was all shiny just like she is now. Every spring, while I am compounding, polishing and waxing, I think to myself -- I should have waited to find a boat with a white hull!

But I have to admit, with fresh wax, it's a sharp-looking boat.

I also grabbed this cool photo at the yard. It's a toilet paper dispenser. I laughed when I saw that it says "Anis" on the side. Then I laughed harder when I realized -- it's from a line of janitorial products called "Sanis" and somebody scratched off the "S".

Childish? Sure, but my excuse is that I'm tired from running the buffer.

I still have never seen a white 370 hardtop for sale around here. To any owner who has one and would prefer to have a blue one: straight-up trade.

there aren't a lot of 370s around. I have one on my dock that has a colored hull. Tons of 360's around.

Launch day! Below the rub rails, she's beautiful. Above? Not so much. But she's in the water, and it's only March 24th. Might be my earliest launch ever. (Well, early by about one week.)

Dang I love that boat and the blue hull although yes its a PITA. Dont be shocked if you see me waiting on the dock for a ride. Actually Ill bring the wife on the boat so she agrees to go bigger. Nice to see you going in early as people at my marina look at me like Im crazy for going in at the end of March. Their loss.

2016 season I did the exact same 3M/wax process. Lasted through the season quite well. This year I did not have to compound so I did the Presta Polish and wax so we will see how it holds up compared to the 3M.

I'll look for you on the dock! Here's what I'm struggling with now: the start of boating season coincides with the start of cars-on-race-tracks season, so I have a serious case of competing hobbies. It's the battle of the 370 vs. the RS5. (I know ... first-world problems.)
