It was pretty easy on my 360. Drain it, unhook wires, unhook hoses, unscrew the 4 screws that secure it and then repeat in reverse with the new one. Pretty simple fix. Make sure it's full of water before you flip the breaker to turn it on otherwise you'll burn out the heat element.
In my 342 the process is simmilar to what craig just said, my water heater is fully exposed in the engine room and would be easy to pop in and out once disconnected. In my 310 though it was so hidden away behind the aft cabin it would have been a day project to remove. This is the second question recently about removing a water heater from 340, wondering if they are not easy to get to like many other models?
