Reversible sink cover and cutting board

    Made a reversible sink cover/cutting board for my 270. Made it out of 1" thick cherry and burned the Rinker logo into the top. Flip it over and it can be used as a cutting board. It fits into the sink so it won't slide out and I finished it with Butcherblock Oil so it is food safe. https://youtu.be/YID7WC4FTIs

Very nice. I am glad that they added the sink cover on the newer models. My 280 has an underground sink in the galley and in the cockpit.

Was originally going to make it completely flush, but wanted it to be able to be flipped over and used as a cutting board. Either way, it would be very difficult to make it flush due to the tight radius edge of the stainless sink.

K, what about flush fill in for upper sink, forget making it a cutting board

    I can easily make this one "almost" flush... just wouldn't be able to flip it. Would also be able to use a stain to match the cabinets instead of a Butcher block finish. 
    Let me take a look at the cockpit sink... getting my boots on. Lol

so you know where you could really make some $$$ make some wood inserts for the cabinets. 

not sure what would be involved, but I would pay good money to have shelves in these spaces vs the useless holes they currently are.

Those cabinets need slide out storage...like modern kitchens at done....on my list if I ever see the inside of my boat again. My river is 7 ' over flood stage and still need to dunk and see if my leak is fixed....

@hmalekib - I would just need a measurements across the inside of that sink and I could tell you. I have some new covers out a set well(and can also carve anything you want into it... logos, your boat name, sports team, whatever you want). Here are some of the new covers I have:

@diggin2day1 my list to Santa keeps getting longer.

Just a thought, could you make a box to go in the place where the coffee maker was?  I removed it for the storage potential but now I just have a big open space.
