Hi all, I'd really appreciate any advise. When I run the water in the sink in the bathroom it comes up through the shower, the shower backs up for a while then all of a sudden it all comes out the side. No idea where it's going or if it's being stored somewhere. Thanks in advance.

    lindastrachan - On my 270 there is a bilge under the after sleeping cabin.  In there is the shower sump and a regular bilge pump...both pumps pump water out the side of the boat.

    I never paid much attention, but I'm pretty sure my bathroom sink drains directly out the side and not into the aft bilge.

    Some boats have their gray water routed to a separate tank or the shower sump.  I think it's a regional thing.

    the shower pump is kicking on and pumping over board. I'm surprised you cannot hear it, it's behind the stairs, under mattress, you will find an access door/plastic lid.

    Yea you should hear it, when ours goes on it can be heard easily in the head.
