Replacement Steering Wheel Choices

Hi Guys. We currently have the standard aluminium and vinyl steering wheel on our 2009 226 BR. We want to replace it with a nice looking wood trimmed wheel and have spotted the Burl Polished Rinker part number 232430. Does anyone have any opinion on this and what size taper is on the boat?

Changed my steering wheel on my 270FV with one I picked up on the Rinker parts site.  The problem I had is that the hub on my original wheel was keyed and the new one was not so I had to keep use the original hub with the new steering wheel.  Luckily the six screw hole pattern matched up however I needed this to remove a couple of screws that were corroded:

@gack do you have a picture of your new steering wheel?

@raybo3- here's the wheel I purchased (before and after I vinyl wrapped the carbon fiber trim to match my dash).  As you can see the steering wheel hub is not keyed and I had to remove and replace it with the hub on my old wheel.  Sorry, don't have a pic of it installed.

Thanks gack for the pictures. When I e-mailed Rinker they told me it would not fit my boat......

Probably just need to use the existing hub like I did.

I found a new steering wheel on ebay just looked for the correct six screw pattern that way you leave the hub the same and just remove the six allen screws to change the wheel.
