Lake St. Clair, Huron to Lower Georgian Bay

Has anyone made the run from Lake St. Clair to Midland/Honey Harbour. Thought rather than towing the 320 we would take a week and make a journey to our marina in Port Severn, Ontario. Comments?

I have friends who have done the trip from LSC to Georgian Bay.  It would be a long run (6.5 hours) but you could make it from Port Huron/Sarnia to Tobemory in a day.   Of course Grand Bend is a great place to spend the night.  Goderich is popular too.

Might want to use https://webapp.navionics.com to play around with some routes.  It will let you define your boat (speed, draft, GPH) and give you estimates on time and fuel.

Trying to find the speed limit restrictions when running the St. Clair River. Not familiar with those waters. How long and what speed restrictions to go from L St. Clair to Lake Huron?

The St. Clair River follows the 200/600 foot rule.  Vessels less than 26 feet, no wake within 200 feet of shore, bigger vessels no wake within 600 feet of shore.  If you stay in the middle of the river you are not wake restricted.  We normally go up the river on plane (28MPH).  I've seen go-fast boats going faster than that.
