J3ff, I installed the new rode and chain today and it works great.   I used:

WINDLASS ANCHOR RODE- 5/8" 8 PLAIT NYLON SPLICED TO 15' - 5/16" GALVANIZED CHAIN from Dark Horse Marine avaliable on Amazon.   Highly recommended.   George
