Railing for steps through windshield

Has anyone installed a railing for those stairs up the cockpit dashboard through the windshield?  I see that Rinker has added one on the EC 400.  We also saw some on boats at the boat show in Boston.  I am considering installing one. It would make going to the bow much easier.  Post pics if you have done this. We own an EC360 but I think the concept would apply to many models.

In the meantime I respectfully suggest you did what we did with our EC 360 - no walks up and through the windshield unless the door to the cabin is closed, otherwise it's a long fall!

Yeah, my wife insists on it when I go stepping up there. Good practice, not hard to slip or miss a footing.

I have been researching this since I purchased M.T's 360, it's mandatory I place some sort of grab rails. The walk through windshield is awesome but it's very unsteady and awkward with nothing to grab until you can reach the hardtop. The railing on the 400 is a perfect set-up.

I would think any decent fabrication shop could make one in ss or chrome. I'd go polished ss. Probably cost a grand but worth it. The Admiral fell a couple of times coming down the steps. We found going up was no big deal but coming down particularly, if the boat was rocking, was tricky.

When I demonstrated the new 370 in Miami, Kim mentioned the newest 370 being produced are now coming with a bar you can grab that's attached to the hard top in the center above the windshield. They must have noticed the same thing. Chuck, do you have the hardtop on your 360?
