Trim tab actuator rubber ring???

I uncovered my boat this weekend and noticed that the rubber ring at the bottom of of the port actuator was loose. Looks like it just pushes back up into the actuator, but not sure how it stays.... Anyone have any clue if my actuator is in fact broken and needs to be replaced?

Lenco electric or is it hyd actuated?  Likely a seal to keep crap from entering.  I had a case crack on a Lenco type and the DC current leakage made a frighin mess of my drives.

The tabs are Lenco electric...

If still working could try to seal it up,but I think the future is a replacement  $140.maybe you'll get another year

So I climbed up into the boat today and cycled the actuator down... in addition to that rubber end cap, a ring gasket also came out. Needless to say I am expecting a new one in the mail in a few days. Lol

yup   lenco 101 i suspect     hope you got two, you can catch a deal once in a while on ebay    the newer ones dont have the two stainless nut caps on the top like the originals   they are sealed
