Any recommendations on latch & lock upgrades for the fv 270?

looking for a more rugged, secure lock. Links to hardware and diy pix would be great. This forum kicks arce! Thanks in advance.

    I'd give that a bit of thought. If you go with a stronger latch and forget to undo it before opening the hatch you'll likely do more damage than a busted latch. Just a thought.

    Some owners go with a painted wooden dowel so it will break without damaging anything, and keep several on board.

    Rinker should have installed a simple ON/OFF switch in the "battery selector hatch". That switch would "break" the power to the switch that controls the engine hatch cover.... simply ALWAYS leave the ON/OFF switch in the OFF position unless you need to energize the engine  hatch switch to open it. When you need to open the hatch you would be forced to walk over RIGHT NEXT TO THE COCKPIT DOOR and flip the switch to energize.
