VesselView Engine Sensor Active Alarms "Engine Sensor"

Had this alarm go off intermittently on our spring cruise, both at no wake speeds and on plane speeds. It would show the alert than suddenly give the green ok. Any idea what this alarm may be regarding? It does not seem very specific???

It's the shift sensor.  I've had this routinely happen to my for many years.  I even had one replaced thinking it would fix it, but it seems like they can be sensitive.  You can try adjusting it to see if that helps.  It is a little shift switch that senses if you are in gear.

Thank you, I will look into that. Any idea where it's located... my guess is on the transom assembly??

It is actually on the engine, near the end of the shift cable.  (I know, a picture would really help)
