    Looks like a connection for a chart plotter/ sonar. Does it have threads on it?

    Sorry, by threads, I mean the little collar that sits around the outside of the plug, it will have a little locking "ring" or thread that locks with a half a twist. And if I'm right, the little rubber hanger going off to the side will have a cap on it to protect the plug end when not in use. Had a Garmin in my old boat for many years.

    Thanks, I'm putting in a new Garmin. Was hoping to use the preexisting wiring, oh well.

    ?? I think what we're all saying is that, indeed it looks like a Garmin plug, so if you're staying with Garmin, you might be alright. But that plug is both power and feed from the transducer, so depending on which model new Garmin you are looking at, the transducer might be different, and up-graded, so you would want to run the new cable anyway, because if I remember correctly they are hard wired at the transducer end.

    It could also be a Lowrance GPS/Fishfinder plug.

    True. Should hopefully be an identifier on the transducer.
