Steering ram rebuild???

'03 Captiva 232/350MAG/Bravo 3 - 285 hours
My power steering went away on the first outing of the year. I got it home and put it on the hose to run it. The fluid was empty, so I added more, and after 15-20 turns of the steering wheel, it was gone again. I've found that I have a leak on the hydraulic ram. Since my repair shop is closed for the day, I'm wondering if this is a rebuildable part? A hydraulic ram is a very basic part, I'd think putting a set of seals in it would be a basic thing, rather than buying a new part. Has anyone had this done, or done it themselves?
