Locations for fire extinguisher

Curious as to preferred locations for fire extinguishers? On my FV270 I'm thinking one down in the cabin, likely by the door. And a second one on deck near my captains chair.
Maybe up to the right in the footwell where I can reach down and grab it?

IF I ever have to use one, hopefully never, the mess is going to be the least of my concerns....

if you have fireboy system you need to certify tanks every 3 years
any fire protection company can do that
only then do they actually qualify towards coast guard count

30 ft in USA requires 2 extinguishers
if fire boy system is present then it counts towards the requirement
so if you had one then you only need one hand held
if you have two then you still need to carry one for above engine emergencies
i don't have fire boy system so I carry two

well, as someone that had a fire on the boat, the automatic ones in the engine room are amazing. And even better, it did not leave any residue at all.
You are doing right by having them right where you can grab them immediately.
