Well, since you are my go to group, I have a carb that sat with ethanol fuel in it for a couple of years...engine will run but not rev. Carb is from around the 91 time period. I pulled the float bowl and the main jet and it seem to have some crud in it which I cleaned out, reassembled - engine fires right up but bogs when you try to accelerate it...anything obvious I can do to clean the cobwebs out? Ran great before I purchased a boat! I'm driving almost a hundred miles a day and my truck gets about 12 mpg and need this other carb to work. I guess just a rebuild kit and start from scratch?

other than that.... may want to disconnect fuel line and run a jump to the pump (if electric)... wash the varnished fuel out. hope the seals are good....
end of story
Those fellas have a hard time with a float vent needle valve. Google it and you'll see the fix. Bottom line is the atmospheric pressure can't equalize and fuel stops flowing butt cold... just to refill and release the bowls contents as it equizes. Hence, it'll start.. it'll run... it won't run under load.
