Waste and water tank indicator

looks like I have them
i see two wires  coming from each tank 
they are on the side and not the top like I would expect
any idea what system that is and if I can buy similar setup to replace what's already there 
I do have indicators lights inside the cabin

Your eyes are the best system

Well that's what I do
almost every time I leave the dock I check inside the engine Comp and use my eyes to gage the tanks lol

I can usually tell by how much I have to use my trim tabs. If my water is full, as my waste fills the less I have to adjust for port lean
