So my stereo quit working over a year ago, likely some wiring issue. I haven't had the time or the inclination to fix it, and frankly I have a little SoundBot Bluetooth speaker that use for music and it has the added benefit of not drawing any juice from the battery. I'm not using shore power at all since I got a solar panel.
Today I took a run down to San Clemente pier to see if I could see any of the Great White sharks that have been sniffing around the surfers down there. Or maybe see the blue whale people are talking about. No luck on that but my Rinker ran like a champ, what a great time. There was was a fair size swell resulting in some moderate hull pounding. Well lo and behold when I got back to the slip stereo was working! So clearly I have a wire that is connecting only by being "jiggled." I'm not holding my breath it will be working next time I take her out. I'm sure most everybody has experienced these infuriating intermittent problems that make fixes difficult.
