Newbie Question

Hi everyone, I took my 2016 186 Captiva out last weekend for the first time last weekend AND LOVED IT Newbie question - I can't get the ignition key out, what am I missing? lol, Thanks

Welcome to the forum! I bet the previous owner never took the key out and it's corroded in place. Spray some penetrating oil in it and wiggle,that should free it up.

I should have asked if your the first owner and if the key was out before you went on the water!

Yes, I am the first owner and key was out - It was put in for our demo from the dealership and then for about 4 hours that we were using it, thanks

If it's giving you that much trouble I would talk to the dealer,it shouldn't be like that.

If they can't help, you could still try the penetrating oil, the tumblers could be stiff.

Are you sure your in the "off" position? You might be in "acc" try turning the key one spot to the right and see what happens.
