Yes, on my 270...took it to a shop. I will try about anything but raising that motor and risk dropping it back in the boat causing unknown damage was just not worth it to me.....had mine done for 1300 bucks, with the part being half of that, thought it a pretty good deal. If you have one bad, chances are your best bet to replace both and not a bad time to do bellows as well while the drives are off.

bigmike Member Posts: 9 ✭good day bottom line, here is the bottom line, my boat went in the shop to change the pivot pins and steering lever, estimate of 4 to 5 thousand dollars, I am now at 11 thousand dollars and I hope it has stopped, you never know when you start pulling things out, at least I am happy the work will be done right this time.
