Windlass swap

So I am switching my horizon 600 for a lewmar 700 pro series.  My question is can I just wire the new windlass in to run off the same switch or do I have to change everything.  The horizon appears to have the switch and relay all in one. The new one has a separate switch and relay.

Depends on the current draw, according to the manual the 700 draws 35A so if the switch is rated for 12VDC @35A, it should be okay. The manual also indicates a part number for the contactor suggesting it should use it and all wiring drawings use a contactor.
When I went to a 1000 it came with relay and new switch and overload/breaker. The 600 was low enough current for the old switch to wire direct but the newer not.  If it didn't come with new and a relay it's probably okay to direct switch but as Handy suggested best to ask Lewmar.

If you got it, use it! If like me you decide to add foot switches later you'll need the contactor.

So I called Lewmar and they said I can use the old set up with no issues
