New cockpit faucet on FV270

Just replaced the old cockpit faucet(AKA: Mr. Drippy) with a new swivel/folding style faucet. I wanted something with more height to it(so I can rinse off more than one finger at a time), but didn't want anyone to use it as a grab rail by mistake. I replaced it with this little gem:

on inspection on amazon, how did you hook up hot and cold lines to it? Looks like it only has one connection.

The cockpit sink(on the FV270) is cold water only. Very easy install.

this guy has all the cool mods!   Im liking that swivel spout. I wanted to replace mine but was worried someone would use it as a grab handle. this faucet solves the problem

digg, did you cap off the hot inlet? i think it would bypass if you didnt, i could be wrong

Do you have hot and cold water in your cockpit sink? On my 2002 FV270 I only have cold water from the factory.

Here is a picture from underneath the faucet... one waterline and a large brass nut holding the whole enchilada on.

Nice looking faucet, a nice upgrade. My original factory faucet is completely corroded and quite ugly so this project is on my list. Has anyone had the grab bar next to the faucet come loose? Both bolts that were brazed in place broke free. I just repaired them using JB Weld (glue of the Gods) and it worked great, it's solid again.

Very nice.   Anyone have a good replacement for the head pullout faucet?  Mine is pretty corroded.

Oh, the faucet only has one inlet.  I assumed it had hot and cold.  That faucet is a perfect fit.

'06 FV250 has cold water only to the cockpit sink also. I never use my water heater, I'm tempted to remove it and free up some space.

Thanks for the link, I did the same thing - this new one focus's the water in such a better fashion that you can actually wash your hands under it, 20 min install start to finish, well worth it!

Just installed one of these faucets yesterday, so thanks diggin2day1 for finding this. The only hard part was loosening the brass nut on the old faucet, there is really no wrench swinging room under the counter on my boat. I just turned the faucet body and held the nut tight and was able to get it off. Nice upgrade!

I used a faucet wrench... $12 at the local hardware store....

I bought one of these as well for a buddy with a 350.  Fit perfectly on his cockpit sink as well.  Thanks Diggin!

It's always great to have the perfect tool for the job. Does anyone else still have the 46mm socket you used one time to remove the rear brake drums on a VW Bug? Ha, I do!

That is really useful.  I have the EC with the standard fixed mount faucet and sink cover - wish I could utilize this style faucet.  Your totally right about only being able to get a finger under there.  Good work/upgrade!
