Adding Fresh Water Pressure System

OK, I come from an offshore liveaboard boating and RV background. I have a permanent slip with water hookups and absolutely hate dragging the hose out every time I need to fill my water tank.

My question is: has anyone added a direct fresh water hookup on their boat? If so can you post what you did. I'm looking at the way my RV is set up and thinking I can duplicate on my 270.

What year is your 270? mine (2004) already has a hookup for a hose..

I haven't added one, but from the look of mine they just "T" the inlet into the existing water system after the fresh water pump that pulls from the fresh water tank.  The inlet has a check valve (which I figured out when one failed) to prevent water leaving when the internal water system pressurizes. 

I'd say the biggest challenge will be cutting a big hole in your boat to accept the inlet.

@tniggel did this a few years ago. It wasn't that difficult. Just go with the white plastic Jabsco OEM water hookup. He tried the chrome one and the pressed in hose connection blew apart.
