Put 12"x12" Lenco edge mount tabs on my 232 with LED control and it is a different boat getting on plane, staying on plane at lower speed, and in rough water. Also can even out boat when load is offset to one side.
I use mine on my 270 to level out from port to starboard depending on cross wind, passenger load etc. Still getting the hang of using them to help stay on plane at lower RPM. If you install them also investigate either the digital switches or a trim tab gauge. I don't have one and wish I did. I'm always second guessing what my tab position is.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Hodges site @randy56. Lotsa neat stuff. Converting to CDN and adding shipping and I'm back up to $428 and that's before customs duty and taxes. We get nailed for any Provincial/State tax as if we bought the item here. Seeing all the awesome sites you guys have to choose from drives me nuts. From Overton's, Defender, Great Lakes, even West Marine, there are all kinds of great choices. Some won't ship to Canada, but even the one's that will, by the time you add shipping, duty, taxes and exchange, there's really no savings to be had. I'm 3 hours from the border, but I can tell you that if I ever need something really big like an out-drive, I'll be driving across to get it.
That's a kind offer @randy56. Exchange right now is the big killer. 25% difference. I think any boat bucks I have will go towards a drive rebuild in the fall.
Anyone had any luck putting a Lenco Trim Tab Kit on a 2000 Captiva 212 (with Mercruiser 5.7L EFI). There is not much real estate (at or slightly below the water line) on the transom for this kit, but need get on plain faster in smooth or rough water, and want to keep my stainless steel prop for top end speed.

Look at this previous thread;

Lotsa $$ for lights. Useful though.
