Isotherm Refrigerator 12v Only?

Good evening,
I have a 2002 270FV with an Isotherm fridge in the cabin.  Is it possible that it is a 12v only model?

It runs and cools like a champ with battery power, but does not run (no interior light or anything) when the batteries are switched to off.  I have no breaker for the fridge on the 110v side of the electrical panel.

I have taken the fridge out of the cabinet before and it sure looks like to me that it IS only 12v.

Can anybody tell me what to look for or check?

Thanks in advance.

Most likely it is a 12 volt unit. You can use it when plugged in to 110 volts as long as your battery charger is working to keep them topped off at full charge (you will have to keep your battery switch on also).

Thanks for the reply aero3113.  I am hooked to shore power and all is well.  I was just surprised that it appears to a 12v only unit.

No problem, I just figured that out with my fridge also.

Mine was an ac/dc fridge until the ac side burnt out. Now I also run purely on battery.

craigswardmtb, do you have a breaker on 110v panel for the fridge?

My 2000 FV2000 same thing. Vitrifrigo brand but 12 v only. No breaker on panel. I have shore power and leave my battery switch on house setting and battery charger breaker on panel on. Beer is always cold.

Just a thought j3ff did his cook top and found that the 110v was coming of that breaker.but you said you had it out and no 110v wire.it is pretty easy to see the inverter on the fridge.

Correct Reneechris, I am fairly competent in the boat systems and here was no 110v (I don't think so anyway....). Just surprised is all.

    Thanks all for the responses.

However, I will be checking to see if the breaker for the stove feeds the fridge... wouldn't that be cool if it was.

Yes I do have a separate breaker for the fridge. It was actually the converter on the fridge that blew out not the breaker. I'm ok with it just being a dc fridge.

Grab the serial number off the unit and look it up, that will confirm DC only
