The shower sump is under the aft bunk port cushion. There is a screen to clean in it. The float switches can/ do go bad. Likely gunky in there and it is sticking.
Agree that you should replace the pump at the very least, if not the whole thing. BD is right that it's a tight fit. I replaced my original with this Atwood box last spring in my 06 342 and it did fit, tight but it fits:
None of the new shower sumps fit in the location though. So unless it is leaking, replace the float / pump as needed.
I needed to replace mine on my 242 last year. I couldn't find a new one that would fit. I also couldn't find a pump that would fit. I ended up buying a new unit and modified everything to fit in the old box.
Good find Liberty. I was hunting for one last week. Got mine working again with a good cleaning. Redoing how it is held in place today. Tired of the 8 screws holding the box down pain.
Agree getting it screwed in is the major pain. My original had an l bracket screwed in to the side opposite the hoses to help, it was screwed ans caulked right in to the tank.
