I am looking for a portable 12volt fan to use in the cabin, head, and cockpit when there is no breeze. Something with a low power draw, and quiet to run all night. Anyone have any suggestions?
I have an O2 fan, but not rechargeable, instead you just install D size batteries. I actually have two and they work pretty well. I believe I got them at Bed Bath & Beyond. I can also plug it into a cig lighter to run it or plug into AC. So there are many options.
I have a number of the Ryobi One+ tools and they have a fan that takes the battery as well as a power cord. On battery it lasts for ages and I recommend if you have these tools also.
I just picked up one, possibly same as black diamonds. Home Depot had it for $30. It accepts D batteries, and comes with a ac plug. I chose it because it's actually a 12v fan with a wall wart that converts 110 to 12v. Stop in at radio shack and pick up another barrel plug then wire it straight to a switch and 12v. Now you can use it anytime between 12v, d batteries or 110v.
