New issue. Sliding cabin door

Issue of the weekend.  Sliding cabin door on my 270 won't slide smoothly and seems to jam up at about have way closed.  The bottom track appears to move or be loose but it's behind the helm and no way to access it.  It's a real PITA.  Was working fine last weekend but did have some choppy waves that I guess could have jarred something.

Before getting to far squirt a little wd40 in the upper and lower track.  It works like magic and does not attract debris.

Also make sure the screws in the track are all the way down.

Ok, been there and done this. First, consider that the floor of the boat is not flat- there is a curve to it. Next, you have an upper and lower track and the only wat the door will operate smoothly is if the upper and lower tracks are parallel. So, if you screw that lower track down tight you are making it worse. Not sure how rinker puts it together, I assume they put some shims under the lower trac. I put some washers under the track where the screws and mine works pretty good!

@rasbury are there screws behind the dash console?  How did you access them?

You should have a round inspection plate as you go down towards the cabin...open that up and you should have access..

Right as you go downstairs, a round thing you can unscrew...you have a 270? I'm sure all models have it .

Hmmm... Not sure how you would get in there then...should be a way ... .

This weekend I brought with me some aerosol lithium grease.  Cleaned the tracks best I could and sprayed a good dose of the grease.  Slide the door back and forth a number of times.  It's not perfect but it's sliding better now.

Mine works real well- you might have to cut an access hole to get in there and make it right- it was a real pain for the kids and the wife. I don't have to use the flip thing at the bottom to keep it in place but I can easily move it now...

One thing to check is that door is not chafing against a wiring harness when closing it.

Mine slides fine but it  will bang sometimes when I hit certain waves in the bay. Not sure how to stop that.
