Is this a Raystar 125? Battery replacement?

i am occasionally losing gps position fix on my raymarine C70. I've read that many of these were paired with the Raystar 125 gps antenna which has a small battery in it that needs replacement after 10+ years. Is this a 125?

    Have a look at the manual attached.  No mention of a battery.  I would check the connector inside the housing.

    That is an RS130,I have the RS125 and have changed the battery,when it does lock on mine stays,buy sometime takes 10min to lock on.

    The update is suppose to help that.I think my just has a bad card reader.

    Renee, thanks, how can you tell that it is a 130 vs a 125? Just curious because I combed through pics earlier and they look so darn similar. Is the 130 taller?

    Well if it's a 130 there is no battery so I'll check connections.

    The 125 is flatter and lower then the 130.

    Thanks Renee for the pic, i see the difference. Yes in reading marks links I'll check the connection inside the antenna. I cleaned the radar dome and the gps antenna weeks ago and I did put some tension on the cord going in to it, perhaps I loosened it. I'll also go in to the programs that the one link describes and make sure things are set right. I did a factory reset last summer and perhaps that goofed something off. I really didn't use the c70 much last summer because I didn't have the chart chip and I had the vertical line issue. Over the winter I fixed the line issue and got a chip so it's really useful now. Thanks again Renee and Mark.

    Ok I went in to my external devices in the C70 and here is what I see for the gps. Sorry to ask again but does this mean that I actually have a 125 and not a 130?

    Success. Mustn't have been a new shape of the 125 as it did indeed have a battery. Quick run to the hardware store for a brand new energizer and it works. Fixed in satellites within a minute. Green blinking led. Thanks.

    So I feel horrible, my dock mate has an 04 sea ray with the antenna like yours, Renee. He has been having more no fix issues than me so I told him about my success last night and he attempted the same today. He bent the crap out of his where it was spot welded trying to get it out and now needs a new antenna. I showed him my pics last night but he tore in to it this morning before i woke up to have a look. He already had a quote for $1k to replace the antenna which I think is ridiculous. I told him he can snake the wire through himself and just buy the antenna online. He is weighing his options.

    Ah that's to bad,I have seen some stuff on line of battiers.Inc. tacks some wire leads on a battery. Probably to late in his case. I did my VHF antenna last week,pulled a small string up though the arch then pulled the wire back down. But we have RINKER'so not a SR.
