Why the heck would a trailer manufacturer (Heritage) apply carpet covered oriented strand board to the inner fenders of a boat trailer? This guarantees the OSB will always be soaking wet and then rot and fall to pieces. I just spent an entire day groveling around on the ground getting the rotted remnants torn out then templating and cutting 1/4" aluminum sheet to rivet into place. It looks sweet and it will never rust or rot!

    So that people who don't know how to load onto a trailer don't do too much damage to their hulls when they miss the bunks.

    Good idea on the upgrade.  My Eagle has the same junk.
