engine oil change pump installation

Just installed a pump to facilitate engine oil changes. Picked up a 12v gear-pump that I wired up with a 10 amp circuit breaker, off-momentary-on switch mounted to an aluminum bracket. Installed a 90 degree ball valve to open or close flow from the oil pan. I used the existing oil drain hose on my 496, cut the end off and inserted a barb fitting that screws onto the fitting on the ball valve.  Made up another hose that screws onto the discharge side of the pump.  This hose has a brass cap on the end to close it off when not in use.  Finally mounted the pump to a piece of starboard which was mounted in the aft part of the engine compartment on the port side.
This will make oil changes much easier.
