    Brief Summary

The new 250 Fiesta Vee immediately stands out as a "stretch" version of the express cruiser concept. Its uncluttered, single-level cockpit seems the size of most deckboats and its an inviting walk from swimplatform right on up to the cabin.

    Key Features

You won't go wanting for seating room in the 250, which features a double-wide helm seat with flip-up bolster, wrap-around portside lounge, and nearly full-beam aft bench seat. The wetbar in the cockpit comes complete with freshwater sink, trash bin, and 25-quart Igloo cooler so no one has to run down to the galley for refreshments. Speaking of the galley, the 250's has a standard undercounter refrigerator/freezer, sink, alcohol/electric stove, and microwave oven. The dinette is fully forward with U-shaped seating for four, and the table drops down to create a double berth. A second double is located in the mid-cabin, and that, combined with a fully enclosed head/shower make the 250 Fiesta Vee an exciting new addition to your express cruiser choices.

All fuel consumption numbers are the total for all engines in the boat. Speeds are measured with Stalker ProSports radar gun or GPS. Fuel consumption (gallons per hour) measured with Floscan digital fuel-flow meter or by on-board factory-installed diagnostic instruments. Range is based on 90% of published fuel capacity. Sound levels determined using Radio Shack digital decibel meter on A scale. 68 dBA is the level of normal conversation. Time to plane is measured from start of acceleration to formation of rooster tail behind boat.

I don't think it holds 75 gallons. I filled it up to full and the pump I think said 44 gallon so I think it has to be somewhere around 50 gallons.

Is your gas gauge accurate? The specs @Boatman posted look right out of a magazine and my FV270 takes 100 Gallons, so 75 for your 250 sounds about right.

    My 2001 242 is 75 gallons

The specs Boatman posted look legit to me. 2006 FV250's have 70 gallon tanks. I don't think 50 gallons would be adequate considering the fuel burn rate. How did you determine the tank was near empty when you put in the 44 gals?

I was at about 1/8 on the gauge and it was showing full after 44 gallons

My fuel guage moves very slow compared to the gas I pump in.  Almost like 20 gallons moves the needle a little bit.

My gas gauge shows one quarter of a tank and I've used 36 gallons according to my fuel flow meter and I know my tank holds a bit over 70 gallons because I had a new one built from scratch.

My mechanic blames the inaccuracy on the "V" shape bottoms of the tank and the sender being better suited to squarer automotive tank applications, plus boat often do not sit level. Not sure about that, but my distrust of the factory gas gauge led me to install a fuel flow gauge by Floscan. Great peace of mind knowing a) how much fuel per hour you are burning and, b) how much fuel has been consumed.
