I kind of laughed at the article saying damages could reach a million dollars. We idle through there frequently, looking at boats that are way out of our means, and I'm pretty sure that dock had a Sea Ray 560, which is over half a million in itself. If it's the one I'm thinking of, there were also 2 Carver Yachts that were side by side. Lots of dollars there.
WOW! That is just crazy! We had a fire in our marina about 4 years ago and I was lucky it stopped at the boat on my same finger pier. Once that roof gets burning, they just all go! Something to think about...
I hate such a loss. What caught my eye is the headlines saying that the had issues with water supply. Maybe a high pressure pump for lake water is in the future budget.
