Battery Charger

I'm looking to replace the old battery charger on my boat which is hard wired. I found a lot of options with 15-20 amp, two battery chargers, but they all seem to have plugs now. Does anyone know of any chargers in the size that I am looking for that are hard wired?

Take the cord off and run the hard wire to it.

Thanks for the input. I  planned on modifying the charger to hardwire if needed. I was just wondering if there are some out there ready to wire. I will check out the Charles.

Thanks Cable guy, born and raised in the burgh. You actually told me about this great forum on Boat Pittburgh or Boat Local as it's now known as. I'm in at Peggys on the Ohio.

Charles Chargers discontinued production of marine units in fall of 2016, BTW. Can't get them new anymore.

I've used Mastervolt and ProMariner chargers.  Was happy with both brands.

What happened to the charger on the boat? Would not think something that would go bad very often...

They do fail.  I had to replace one on my boat a few years ago.  I also know a few others on my dock that have replaced theirs.  It just stops putting out a charge.

Blue Sea Systems is another vendor for high-end marine chargers.

I installed a ProMariner ProNautic 1240P in my 2000 FV270.  It's technically a dry-mount charger, but I sprung a leak in my brand new freshwater pump, completely soaking it on several occasions while it was on.  The wire loom containing the wiring harness below was completely filled with water and tripped the circuit breaker.  After thoroughly drying out the charger, the wiring and replacing the pump and the Anderson Powerpole connections in the wiring harness, the charger is working fine.  I highly recommend it or one of the others in the product line.
