Air conditioning

I have an 2008 330 express cruiser that  had great air conditioning. I attempted to shut off the air and believe I put it in heat mode only. We attempted to reset the program, impeller seems fine, cleaned the strainer, checked the seacock but the air conditioning will not go back on. There is no water pumping and it read high freon. Any suggestions as marine a/c specialist are not common in upstate NY

You lost prime on your pump

When I lose prime on my pump, simply take her out for a spin, get up on plane and it forces water though.

I have a tee cut into the AC water line with a ball valve.  When this happens I open the T valve and "burb" the air out of the inlet and things go back to normal.

Great Idea. Could you adapt a hose bib on the ball valve to run the AC when boat is out of water?

I have had to re-prime mine a twice in 3 seasons.  I have the same boat.  Watch out for the condensation drain getting clogged.  I noticed water in the bilge when my boat was delivered.  Figured out the drain was clogged and the pan was rusty.  Pulled my ac unit and cleaned the pan.  The clog was like cement.  took me an hour of working a coat hanger in the thru hull fitting to get it opened up.  So now middle of my third season, it happened again.  amazing how much water is created just from the condensation.  I think that condensation pan is a really bad design.

insert water hose through the side thru-hull and back flush (prime) the AC water pump.

You can easily add a T with ball valve to pressurize your AC water inlet line and even your generator (although be careful not to flood the generator). I posted pictures of this a couple of years ago. easy and effective - also works great when winterizing to pump a-freeze through.

If interested in my build suggestion and pictures - enter the following into the search box at the top of this page: Home Made By-Pass Water Pressurization and Winterization For HVAC and Generator.
