Does anyone if the older, like 1995 bravo shift cams are notorious for going bad?

Is anyone familiar with a 1995 7.4 bravo 2 shift cam, and is it expensive if it goes bad?

Not trying to be a wise guy but, are you sure it's not the cable? shiftier? or adjustment?
